Newly Elected Officers for the 2024 TSPRA Executive Committee

President-Elect: Kristyn Cathey, APR

Kristyn Cathey, APR, currently serves as the Chief of Communications & PR for Alief ISD. She has been a member of TSPRA for 12 years, during which time she has held various roles including TSPRA Conference Co-Chair, member of the Conference Planning Committee, Scholarship Committee Chair, member of the Strategic Planning Committee, Pre-Conference Chair, member of the Professional Awards Committee, and member of the Employee Morale Toolkit Committee. Additionally, she has served as Houston-Beaumont Area Vice-President, Vice-President at Large, and Parliamentarian. 

Houston/Beaumont VP: Joel Weckerly

Joel Weckerly currently serves as the Director of Communications for Cypress-Fairbanks ISD. He has been a member of TSPRA for 10 years, during which time he has been a conference presenter, Professional Awards committee member, Star Awards committee member (writing awards), and Social Media Chair at conference. He has received several accolades including the Crystal Commendation Award, Crystal Certificate of Merit, Best of Category – State of the District Booklet, and the Platinum Certificate of Merit – LEAD Safely 2020-2021 Reopening Plan. 

North Central VP: Cecelia Jones 

Cecelia Jones currently serves as the Director of Communications for Little Elm ISD. She has been a member of TSPRA for nine years, during which time she has served as the Standing Committee Chair for TSPRA at the midwinter conference, presented at two different TSPRA conferences, and volunteered to serve on a variety of committees for the 2023-2024 year. She was also the recipient of the TSPRA Best of Category award for Newsletter and Comprehensive Communication Plan, as well as numerous gold-certificate awards for her work in video and print media. 

Far West VP: Gustavo Reveles

Gustavo Reveles currently serves as the Director of Communications & Marketing for Canutillo ISD. He has been a member of TSPRA for 16 years, during which time he has served on the TSPRA Nominating Committee, and as Vice President. He has also received TSPRA Star Awards in various categories.  

San Antonio VP: Lexi Greathouse

Lexi Greathouse is the Director of Communications for Judson ISD and Executive Director of Judson Education Foundation. She has been a member of TSPRA for seven years, during which time she has served on the TSPRA Nominating Committee, Conference Planning Committee – Star Awards, and as Chair of the Star Awards Review Committee. Lexi Greenhouse is the recipient of the TSPRA Crystal of Commendation Award, the TSPRA Best of Category Medal, and has received Multiple Gold & Silver Star awards.  

At-Large VP Position 2: Kim Cathey

Kim Cathey currently serves as the Community Relations Supervisor for Judson ISD. She has been a member of TSPRA for 12 years, during which time she has served on the TSPRA Executive Committee, Nominating Committee, and Planning Committee. She has also been a TSPRA Conference Presenter, SASPRA Zone Coordinator, Conference Day Chair, and San Antonio Area Vice President. Kim Cathey has earned numerous awards for her publications and videos and was the 2017 TSPRA Rookie of the Year.  

At-Large VP Position 3: Dr. Jordan Ziemer

Dr. Jordan Ziemer currently serves as the Director of Communications for Abilene ISD. He has been a member of TSPRA for over five years. Currently, he holds the position of At-Large Vice President, Position 3, on the TSPRA Executive Committee. In this position, he has served on the Strategic Planning and Budget committees. Dr. Jordan Ziemer is also a member of the Document Vault committee and serves as VP liaison to the Star Awards Review and Bylaws committees. Prior to being appointed to the Executive Committee, he was on the Conference Planning, Nominating, and Executive Director Evaluation committees. In 2019, he received the TSPRA Conference Scholarship award.
