2025 Professional Awards Winners

2025 Professional Achievement Award

Bruce Stone, Pasadena ISD

Crossing over from a marketing agency, Bruce Stone has been in school communication for 18 years and has been an all-star employee and mentor. Diagnosed with ALS in August of 2022, Bruce fought the disease all the while continuing to work and give it his all. For his dedication to the profession, Bruce Stone earned the TSPRA Professional Achievement Award. Bruce later shared with his colleague Art De Barrio, “This award was truly my proudest achievement.”

Last year he walked away with two gold medals for his designs and has collected many over the years. He was an instrumental part of the Platinum Award Pasadena ISD received in 2020. For 13 years he has designed the program, cover and t-shirt design for Pasadena ISD’s prestigious Texas Invitational Basketball Tournament.

He designed materials for the 2011, 2014, 2017 and 2022 Bond elections and a TRE. All passed.

This year he migrated over 10,000 web pages from one platform to another meeting with each department individually communicating with them with a tablet since he is no longer able to speak.

Bruce passed away on March 15, 2025. He will leave a lasting legacy as the Professional Achievement Award recipient.
