Veronica Castillon, APR

Veronica Castillon, APR, works in Laredo ISD as their Executive Director of Communications. She served as Parliamentarian for 2018-2019 and has chaired TSPRA's Scholarship and Bylaws committee in previous years. She has won multiple Gold and Best of Category Star Awards. She was inducted into the Communications Hall of Fame by the City of Laredo Commission for Women in 2010 and has received awards from the Literacy Volunteers of Laredo, United Way of Laredo, Washington's Birthday Celebration Association and Girl Scouts of Greater South Texas. She earned her Accreditation in Public Relations in 1999.

Jamie Fails

Jamie Fails serves Willis ISD as their Director of Communications. She has previously spent time as Vice President of the San Antonio region while working at Kerrville ISD. She has served on the Strategic Planning Committee, Audit Committee, Bylaws Committee and chaired the Teller Committee and presented at both TSPRA's annual conference and the TASA/TASB annual conference. She was named TSPRA's Rookie of the Year in 2015.

Kyle DeBeer works as Assistant Superintendent of Communications and Community Engagement in Waco ISD. A TSPRA member since 2013, he presented at the 2017 Annual Conference. He is an active member of TASA. He is a member of the Waco Rotary Club and a founding member of the Waco Communications Co-op Advisory Council.

Corey Ryan

Corey Ryan works in Leander ISD as their Chief Communications Officer. He has served as the Central Area Zone Coordinator since 2016 and has volunteered for TSPRA's Strategic Planning Committee, Audit Committee and as a TSPRA conference presenter and Day Chair.  He has also presented at TASB's Winter Governance Meeting and the Texas PTA conference. He is a member of the Leander ISD Educational Excellence Foundation and a literacy partner at Camacho Elementary School.

Andy Penney

Andy Penney works at Frenship ISD as the Director of Public Relations and Information. A member of TSPRA since 2010, he served one term as Northwest Vice President beginning in 2017 and has served on the Professional Awards committee and presented roundtable sessions at TSPRA conferences. He has been involved with the Frenship Foundation for Leadership, the South Plains Area Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and the Lubbock Metropolitan Rotary Club, and announces Texas Tech Lady Raider sporting events.

Rebecca Villarreal, APR, serves New Braunfels ISD as their Director of Communications. She served the Central Area as vice president beginning in 2017 and previously served as zone coordinator. She is a member of the Public Relations Society of America and Association of Texas Professional Educators, served as president of the San Antonio Chapter of PRSA in 2011 and earned her Accreditation in Public Relations in 2017.

Kristin Zastoupil works at Forney ISD as an Executive Director of Marketing and Communications. She has served on the TSPRA Executive Committee as an At-Large Vice President for four years as well as on the Conference Planning Committee, Website Ad Hoc Committee, Budget Committee and Strategic Planning Committee. She has also been a conference Day Chair. Kristin is a member of NSPRA, the Texas Education Foundation Network, American School Foundation Alliance Member, National School Foundation Association Member. She has received numerous Star Awards for graphic design, websites, school communications and education foundation initiatives, and received a 2016 TEFN Outstanding Achievement Award. She is active in the Corsicana/Navarro County Chamber of Commerce and teaches public relations to undergraduates at Baylor University.

Monica Faulkenbery, APR

Monica Faulkenbery, APR, is the Assistant Director of Communications at Northside ISD. She has served as San Antonio Area Vice President and an At-Large Vice President, chaired the TSPRA Scholarship Committee, worked as an APR mentor in the San Antonio area and throughout the state, and has been the Chair of the Texas Welcome Committee for the NSPRA National Seminar. She is active in the San Antonio chapter of the Public Relations Society of America and is a frequent guest lecturuer at local universities and organizations. She has received TSPRA's Professional Achievement and Most Valuable Member awards, as well as the San Antonio PRSA Lifetime Achievement Award. Monica is a nineteen-year veteran of TSPRA.

Craig Verley

Craig Verley works at Mission CISD as the Director of Public Relations/Marketing. He has served as the Gulf Coast Zone Coordinator, TSPRA Parliamentarian, conference social media chair and on the Teller and Executive Director Evaluation committees and organizes the annual 5K run at the conference. He has won the TSPRA Bright Idea Award twice. He served on the board of the American Red Cross South Texas Chapter for six years.

Tammy Dowdy

Tammy Dowdy works as the Director of Communications at Dickinson ISD. She has served as Houston/Beaumont Area Zone Coordinator, conference co-chair in 2017, and on the Executive Director Evaluation, CTPS and Scholarship committees. She has also presented at numerous TSPRA conferences. She is involved in the Rotary Club of Dickinson, where she has served as a board member.

Megan Overman, CPC, serves Eagle Mountain-Saginaw ISD as their Director of Communications. She had previously worked in Birdville, Keller and Grapevine-Colleyville ISDs. She has chaired the TSPRA Audit Committee and TASA/TASB Resource Center Committee and presented at conference on numerous topics, including the Rookie Bootcamp preconference. She is an active member of the Texas PTA and the Texas Association of School Administrators and serves on the Board of Directors for the Northwest Area Chamber of Commerce in Lake Worth.

Melissa Martinez, CPC

Melissa Martinez, CPC, has served as the Executive Director to Community Engagement for the El Paso Independent School District since June 2014. Martinez brings more than 20 years experience in communications, having worked as a journalist throughout the region. She presented at the 2016 Annual Conference in Horseshoe Bay. 

Melissa was originally appointed to fill the unexpired term of Shane Griffith.

Anne Marie Espinoza

Anne Marie Espinoza has worked as the Executive Director for Communications and Marketing for Uvalde Consolidated ISD for four and half years. She has served on the TSPRA Teller Committee, the Celebrate Texas Public Schools committee and most recently as the Zone Coordinator for the San Antonio Area.

Anne Marie was originally appointed to fill the unexpired term of Jamie Fails.

Kristyn Hunt Cathey works as a Media/Communications Specialist at Port Arthur ISD. She has served as TSPRA Parliamentarian, Scholarship Committee chair, Conference Day Chair and on the Professional Awards and Strategic Planning Committees. She has been named a recipient of NSPRA's 35 Under 35 honor and the Southeast Texas Young Professionals' 40 Under 40. She currently serves as VP of Public Relations for the Southeast Texas Press Club and teaches classes in communications at Lamar University-Beaumont.

She has been the recipient of numerous Gold, Silver and Best of Category Star Awards, as well as an NSPRA Golden Achievement Award and Award for Merit.
