NOW ACCEPTING PROPOSALS TO PRESENT
The TSPRA Conference Planning Committee is looking for submissions to present concurrent and roundtable sessions. Submissions to present at the TSPRA Annual Conference February 20-23, 2023 in Fort Worth are due by Monday, October 24, 2022 by 4 p.m. Any proposals submitted after 5 p.m. will not be considered.
Tip – Create clear session titles and descriptions, consider timely issues facing conference attendees and use real-life examples or case-studies to help illustrate your topic.
If your session application is accepted, presenters are responsible for their own hotel, travel and conference registration fees. They will not be comped. While you may come in, present and leave, all presenters who plan on attending any other conference sessions or events are required to register and pay for the conference.
Concurrent sessions (about 60 minutes in length) will be equipped with Internet access, a projector, screen and an extension cord. The presenter must furnish any additional equipment needed, including computer, speakers, handouts, connector cables, etc. as needed.
Roundtable presenters display presentations at their table on their own computer, tablet or mobile device. Roundtables are 20 minute sessions presented four times in a row.
Note – Once you start an online submission, you will NOT be able to save and come back to it or edit your information once it has been submitted. So please, have all information prepared in advance: presenter(s) info, topic, target audience, session title and description (25 words or less).
The state office contacts applicants by end of December. If their presentation is approved, they are asked to confirm their acceptance and make any edits for the program by a specified deadline. Sometimes presenters change their minds and choose not to move forward. At that point, their space is offered to an alternate choice. Once this process is complete, all those who submitted are contacted. If a presenter doesn’t accept their assignment and confirm program information by the specified deadline, their presentation will be replaced by an alternate.
