GOOD TO KNOW

Model Tolerance in Your District's Communications

Teaching tolerance is an important part of K-12 education, but is your district serving as a good example?

  • Do your actions promote open communication and inspire students and faculty to respect one another?
  • Do you listen with an open mind to studnets, parents and staff of different groups?
  • Do you avoid saying and writing things that might be offensive to members of other groups?
  • Do you speak up to dispel misconceptions, stereotypes, and prejudice among staff and students?
